Dr. John A. Swartz
John Swartz has a Ph.D. from Ohio State University. Recently retired from Sam Houston State University, he has taught on the secondary and University level for nearly forty years. He has published works in education and organizational development incorporating the latest in multimedia and access grid telecommunication. He has served as manufacturing consultant to Hughes Aerospace, American Standard in Wittlich, Germany; Buick, Olds, Cadillac in Livonia, Michigan, to Golden State Foundry, Ogden, Utah and to Allied Signal. He has worked in telecommunications with USAID in Jamaica, in archeology with the Smithsonian in Tel Gezer, Israel. He has presented Multi-Media workshops at California Polytechnic, Arizona State University, the University of Minnesota, and Purdue University. He has produced several CD-ROMs, one of which, An Electric Approach to the History of Manufacturing, he presented to the International Society of Engineers in Miami. He has published several multi-media books, the latest of which is The Teacher as Aladdin, and a book now at Kent State University, Mountains throw Shadows: the Rushmore Presidents.
